Cynthia Ashby

As a California native, transplanted to Chicago, she earned a B.F.A from the School of the Art Institute and at the same time, taught herself to design apparel. She applied her exuberance, creativity, and curiosity playing with different fibers, materials, dye techniques, and construction until she found her inimitable aesthetic. Just out of college she launched her first clothing line, securing several local boutiques who appreciated her superior craftsmanship and unique point of view. A brand was born.
